The New Bentley Bentayga V8

Sleek and sophisticated, the Bentley Bentayga V8 2020 reboot not only eliminates the setbacks of the first version but it also improves on the overall features of this stunning SUV plus its appearance is enhanced further to make a handsome vehicle which would undoubtedly steal admiring glances on the road.

A supercar performance balanced with practical usability, Bentley redefined the concept of the luxury SUV when it first unveiled the first Bentayga back in 2016. Combining the qualities of a performance grand tourer, a luxury limousine, a spacious family car and an off-roader, the Bentayga earned a place in the hearts of luxury car lovers and the minds of motorheads.

As the first truly luxury SUV in the world, the Bentayga set a high benchmark for this vastly popular car category. Many have since followed suit but have yet to achieve the popularity of the Bentayga. With 20,000 Bentaygas already sold around the world – more than any of its competitors – the Bentayga however doesn’t rest on its laurels.

The new version has a bold styling and imposing presence, with the front of the marque looking cleaner and more modern. The assertive matrix grille is larger and more upright than its predecessor while the new LED matrix headlamp incorporates the Signature Bentley design which is inspired by cut crystal glassware. Heated wet-arm windscreen wipers shoots water from 22 washer jets located in each arm.

The rear of the new Bentayga V8ob the other hand had had a complete facelift. A full width tailgate with encapsulated lamps gives it a contemporary visage while a 20 mm increase to the rear track width gives it a steady look, making the new design wheels more outstanding.

For its interior, many new changes can be noted. Among them, a new centre fascia, steering wheel, door trims and seats. Rear passenger also have more legroom with ventilation in their seating. A state-of-the-art infotainment system is contained in the handcrafted dashboard with a 10.9-inch screen with edge-to-edge graphics.

Wireless Apple CarPlay is available for the first time as is an all-new navigation with satellite maps, online searches and high-resolution graphics. Passengers at the rear now benefit from a new, large touchscreen remote control tablet not unlike the one introduced in the all-new Flying Spur. With USB-C data ports and a wireless phone charger, connectivity in the new Bentayga has been improved significantly. An embedded SIM also no longer requires passengers to provide their own data connection.

A dark tint diamond brushed aluminium trim appears for the first time as well as two straight-grain veneers while a new quilting design and micro piping detailing is an option for the seats. Powered by Bentley’s impressive 4.0-litre, 32-valve dual-scroll turbocharged V8 petrol engine which supplies tremendous power as well an fuel economy, the Bentayga offers super car performance, developing 542 bhp (550 PS) and 568 lb.ft (770 Nm) of torque, resulting in top speed of 180 mph (290 km/h) and 0-60 mph in 4.4 seconds (100km/h in 4.5 seconds).

With a sturdy and solid chassis, the Bentayga remains stable during twists and turns, so passengers are not shifted from left to right while it manoeuvres sharp corners.

And for those who are environmentally conscious, brace yourself because Bentley will soon release the W12 hybrid model, an efficient plug-in which will be Bentley’s first step toward electrification.
