W Kuala Lumpur’s Lovely Mooncakes

This Mid-Autumn Festival, fall in love and get ‘moonstruck’ with the vibrant colours of W Kuala Lumpur’s delicious mooncake collection.

Packed in pretty boxes and available in a variety of mouth-watering flavours, W Kuala Lumpur’s mooncakes are perfectly crafted by the culinary team at YEN, the hotel’s contemporary Cantonese restaurant. W Kuala Lumpur keeps it classic this year with old-school favorites such as Traditional Five Nuts, Black Sesame Paste with Single Yolk, White Lotus Seed Paste with Melon Seed, Yellow Lotus Seed Paste Double Yolk, Mint Red Bean, and Cendol Coconut. The mooncakes, prepared by the Executive Chinese Chef of W Kuala Lumpur, Chef Tan Kim Weng and his team, can be bought in a set or individually.

If you purchase this delicacy in a box of four, you will receive a trendy bag in Iridescent Blue or Luminous Purple as well as a voucher when you return to indulge in delectable offerings at YEN. The bag’s design is a collaboration with Gung Ho, the dynamic trio behind the bold ‘Crazy Asians’ art pieces on the mooncake boxes. Welcoming the mooncake festival this September is a curated mid-autumn inspired menu by Chef Kevin Yong. His afternoon tea menu features oriental flavours; think Osmanthus, Kumquat, Lychee Rose, Black Sesame and Lapsang Souchang and of course, traditional mooncakes.
